Review of St Andrews Coach Houses

This was truly 5 star self catering-the best I have experienced in Scotland. Your attention to important detail and all the lovely extra touches really make it very special. We recently stayed in an award winning self catering elsewhere in Scotland. This was also a lovely experience but you would have nothing to learn from them or indeed many of the Rural Retreats properties we have stayed in over the years. I think your hospitality would outshine them all!

This accommodation is as good after our 5th stay as it was after our 1st. Maggie has set such high standards and they have never wavered. It is 5 star accommodation in the most beautiful location with the warmest of welcomes from all the Picken family. Their knowledge if the area is amazing in helping you make the most if your tine in the St Andrews area. We'll be back v soon.

We enjoyed our stay immensely and will recommend you to our friends and family. The Coach Houses are so comfortable and clean so it was an "instant relax" the minute we arrived, it's so stylish. You so deserve to do well as you have really stood in the shoes of your guests; it's so obvious that you provided what you would have expected yourself. I have left a review on Trip Advisor although I'd much rather keep you to myself!!

Had a fantastic holiday with my husband and two children (ages 3 and 12). On arrival we were greeted with a lovely hamper of goodies which was a lovely touch. The accommodation itself had everything you could wish for with lots of lovely little details which make such a difference. You do feel like you have arrived at a little boutique hotel rather than self catering accommodation. The children loved the freedom of the cottages (we live in London so they are not used to this!) and enjoyed feeding the horse lots of carrots and playing in the large barn which was full of toys. While they were doing this I could enjoy a nice glass of wine on the terrace. We cannot wait to return!

St Andrews Coach Houses are located in a beautiful and peaceful setting close to St Andrews and are furnished to a very high standard. Maggie is lovely; her knowledge of the area and places to visit is very helpful. By far the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Just returned from our second visit, now planning our third!

The Coach Houses are a fabulous place to stay, so well equipped and well designed. I felt safe and I knew my children could play happily outside without me having to watch their every move.
I can't praise the coach Houses and Maggie enough and would not hesitate to recommend it as a place to stay. My only worry is, everyone is going to know it. I'd better book early for next year then!!!!!!
