What’s on in St Andrews in the month of September
Many see September as they start of a new season and St Andrews has plenty to offer residents and visitors alike during this September to welcome in the changing weather. No matter what your interests are, there is bound to be something on in St Andrews which is right up your street this month, so let’s take a look at what is on this month.
Two fairs in one day- Antique, Collectors and Vintage Fair & the Preservation Trust Autumn Fair
On Saturday 8th September, there are two different fairs which are going to vie for you attention. The monthly antique fair brings its usual stunning array of vintage trinket and antique treasures to St Andrews Town Hall. The fair opens its doors at 10am, charging £1 for admissions, 75p for students and concessions and accompanying children go in for free.
The biannual Preservation Trust Fair celebrates the last month of the season at the Preservation Trust Museum on the 8th September. Doors open at 11am and the fair is open until 4pm. There will be a wide range of stalls for your perusing pleasure.
A floral fun day- Autumn Shades
The experts at The Flower Barn are holding a workshop on the 16th September where they will share their expertise and help you to create an Instagram worthy floral centrepiece that you can take home with you. You will also receive a bunch of tips and tricks to help you recreate stunning floral arrangements with the flowers you can expect in the new season as well as insider tricks to keep your floral creations lasting longer in your home.
Not just another market- The Night Market
The Night Market returns on the 18th September with its array of street food, drink stalls, crafts and live music. The Market Night offers visitors a relaxed atmosphere partnered with great food and fantastic live music and is always one of the most anticipated evenings of the month.
Architect art returns- Autumn Exhibition Scottish Society of Architects Artists
This year, the Scottish Society of Architects Artists returns to St Andrews for the month of September. Brand new work will be displayed at J & G Innes, Bookshop & Stationer for the entire month so make sure you pop down and take a look at some innovative and creative artwork during your time in St Andrews in September.
Coffee date at the council- Community Council Coffee Morning
Residents of St Andrews are invited to attend a coffee morning on the 29th September at 9.30am at St Andrews Town Hall. Take this chance to get to know your local community counsellors, hear about their plans and ask any questions you want to bring up about issues in your community. This is a great opportunity to raise any concerns you have or bring up any issues to the attention of the people who have the power to do something about it.
